Earlier this year we had a chat with folk artist Timberwolf ahead of his slot at the Apollo Bay Music Festival, and similarly before he headed toward Cairns to synch up with Matt Myers and begin work on his second EP, following from his debut Man & Moon.
It Burns is the lead single off of his sophmore EP Flex, thrusting him into the spotlight at this weeks featured artist on Triple J Unearthed and receiving airplay on national radio via Triple J.
And it seems like the booking agencies of Australia, or very well Adelaide at least, are taking notice in this driven individual. Having shared stages with the likes of Dustin Tebbutt (live review), taking out Best Acoustic Artist and Best Music Video for his song Grace at the recent Fowlers Live Music Awards, AS WELL AS preparing to perform at Festival of the Sun, Gorgeous Festival and WOMADelaide in the coming months.
Wispy vocals, strong melodies and emotive lyrics have all become weapons of Timberwolf's trade. And he uses them exceptionally well. With the second EP in the bag, Flux, ready for its 2015 release date and festival lineups to boot, the next six months is rapidly becoming the most pivotal period in his career.
You can catch ourinterview with him here.
Keep slaying it Chris, we're right behind you!
