It's the back end of summer. The sun is setting a little earlier, the nights are getting cooler and everything seems to shine a little brighter. Lost Woods are taking full advantage of the setting sun, launching their new single Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant following the close of play this Friday night at Rocket Bar.
Twenty fourteen, creeping over the Adelaide Hills, saw Lost Woods debut at the Ed Castle, play an interstate show in Melbourne and support the likes of Citizen Kay and HOLY HOLY in the process. Fast forward a year and the band is prepared to kick it up another gear. Having spent the end of last year crafting their new single, Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant, the band is setting themselves for a breakout year.
Never one to be pinned down, lead singer Peter White interchanges his vocal performances with Buckley-esque vocals on track Monegasque and then taking after Jungle Giants own Sam Hales, on their song King Of Aberdeen. Lost Woods having something in themselves for any fan of layered elegance, it's too hard not to fall deep down the rabbit hole when you're floating along.
Supporting them this Friday night are a trio of equally elegant and beautiful bands. The Rocketeers, part of our Top of the Class 2014, The Informers and solo artist Dan White are all coming along for the ride. For all the facts and drinks on the night, check out the Facebook event for further details.
